Institution’s Innovation Council
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)is an Initiative of Ministry of Education for Higher Education Institutes.
Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, has established 'MoE's Innovation Cell’ (MIC) to foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
The potential of Innovation in nation build-up is rightly recognized and therefore to promote innovative ideas of faculty and students, PES’s Modern College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Ganeshkhind, Pune-16, has established ‘Institution’s Innovation Council’ in October 2019 and participated in several initiatives of different cycles of IIC, Government of India.
Our institute has participated in ARIIA (Atal Ranking of institutions on innovation achievements) and NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) and also registered on KAPILA (Kalam Program for IP literacy and Awareness) and YUKTI portal, all of which aim at fostering a culture of innovation in the institute. R.D. and S.H National College, Bandra West, Mumbai, is the ‘Mentor Institute’ in our journey of IIC.
To ensure maximum participation of students, ‘IIC Student Unit’ is also established as a subunit of ‘Institution’s Innovation Council’. The unit will function by creating an interdisciplinary platform for interaction of students of Science, Commerce, and Arts, to aid each other to acquire necessary skill sets for entrepreneurship and contribute towards prosperity of society and the nation.
